Young Driver (MORE Course) for Learners & Experienced Drivers.

A course designed for pre and newly passed drivers to keep safer on our highway networks. Hosted by the Bedfordshire Road Safety Partners.

If you are 16 -30 years of age, take your driving skills to the next level with our half day course, where you gain access to expert instruction and pratical experiences.

· NON DRIVERS - Build a solid foundation with practical driving time and theory workshops.

(Non Drivers are participants(young person) who still need to apply for and those who hold a provisional driving licence) .

· DRIVERS - Hone your skills with advanced manoeuvres like emergency braking and skid control.

(Drivers are participants(young person) who hold a full driving licence).

All Attendees receive information on-

· Reading the Road

· Vehicle Maintenance

· Advice on the Law

· Distraction and Vulnerable Road User Awareness

. Driving on our National Highways

· VR Experience

In addition to the above non Drivers will experience a drive with a Qualified Instructor (ADI).

Drivers will have the oppourtunity to expereince the Skid Pan and Emergency Stops at Speed (30, 50, 70mph). You will need to bring proof that you have passed your driving test to participate in these experiences.

(All the above activities may change dependant on staff avavilability on the day).

There is a workshop for parents on advice on selecting a driving instructor .

Please arrive at 9am for a 9.15am start.

IMPOTANT NOTES

Please note we are now charging a small admin fee for the non driver and driver participants only to attend this course for. Parents attending with participants (young person) attend for free.

Participants ticket bookings are non -refundable. Personal details are required after payment has been made.

- ATTENDING PARENTS/GUARDIANS - YOU DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE A TICKET - You attend with your young person FREE.

- ONLY ENTER DETAILS OF THE PARTICIPANT (young person) ON THE FORM (Parents details are required at the bottom of all forms).

-PLEASE ENSURE CORRECT TICKETS ARE PURCHASED FOR PARTICIPANTS (young person). Provisional licence holders and non licence holders are NON DRIVERS.
