This event is part of the Aspiring Trustee Series!

How do we remove the barriers that stop young people from becoming trustees?

A recent report from the Charity Commission for England and Wales and Pro Bono Economics found that just 1% of trustees in England and Wales are aged 30 or under, and that the mean age of trustees is 65.

This session will explore what’s working and what’s not, when it comes to recruiting and retaining younger trustees.

Hear from young trustees about their experiences, and from organisations that have successfully brought fresh voices into the boardroom.

This session is perfect for aspiring and serving young trustees and those looking to bring fresh perspectives onto their boards.

Brought to you by Eastside People as part of the Festival of Trusteeship during Trustees' Week 2025, with headline support from the Institute of Leadership.
