Got an idea for an ocean advocacy campaign or project that needs some money to get off the ground? Want to attend an event or training to develop your marine skills?
Young Sea Changers Scotland is launching a Youth Ocean Action Fund designed to support young people (16-25) with bold, innovative ideas for ocean advocacy, to help make them a reality. Through this fund, we’re removing financial barriers to spark a fresh wave of youth-led ocean action.
These online Q&A sessions with the YSCS team are a great way for any young person interested in applying to go through any questions you might have about the fund, which grant to apply for, what projects are eligible, or how to apply.
We’ll talk through the following:
- What we’re looking for from applications
- The application process
- Funding process (e.g. how you'd actually get the money)
Applications for the Youth Ocean Action Fund (both grants) close at 9am on Monday 26th May, so you'll still have time to get your application together before the deadline closes. The YSCS team is also available to support you developing your ideas or to offer guidance on developing your budget whilst applications are open. Please get in touch at contact@youthforseas.org if you'd like to talk to us individually.

Please note: this session is designed exclusively for young people aged 16-25 living in Scotland.
