This interactive ½ day workshop will give you the opportunity to reflect on what role you can play as a Youth Worker to help #KeepThePromise by 2030. The aims of this session are:

  • To raise awareness and understanding of the Promise and update on what is happening locally
  • To consider our responsibilities under The Promise – what do we need to do to ensure all our children and young people grow up to feel loved, safe and respected in the Scottish Borders
  • To support Youth Workers to consider how they can contribute to positive changes – both individually and collectively- to #KeepThePromise in the Scottish Borders
  • To reflect on the links between the UNCRC, GIRFEC and the Promise
  • To create a space to explore feedback from our care experienced young people about what is working well and what we could do differently
  • To have an opportunity to ask the Promise team questions relating to delivering the Promise within your setting
