Yr Wyddfa Construction Hike
Hike up Yr Wyddfa (Mt Snowdon) for professionals in the Construction Sector.
This is a great opportunity to experience the great outdoors, network and summit the highest peak in Wales.
Meeting point is 8am at the Llanberis car park.
The Llanberis Path is the longest, most gradual, and popular route up Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), stretching approximately 9 miles (14.5km) round trip with 975m of ascent. It is considered the easiest path, ideal for beginners, taking 5.5–7hours. The path follows the mountain railway, offering well-maintained, non-scrambling terrain, though it becomes steep in the final section.

• Start/Finish: Victoria Terrace, Llanberis (SH 582 598).
• Difficulty: Moderate / "Hard mountain walk" (long, with a steep final third).
• Duration: 5.5 to 7 hours.
• Facilities: No toilets on the path; only in Llanberis village and occasionally at the summit cafe.
Parking and Access
• Parking: A large car park (£11 all day, £6 after 3 pm) is available in Llanberis, along with other options by the Slate Museum.
• Public Transport: The Sherpa’r Wyddfa bus service connects to the area.
• Etiquette: Avoid parking on side streets in the village.
Safety and Tips
• Gear: Full hill walking gear is required, including proper hiking footwear and waterproofs, as the summit is very exposed.
• Conditions: Check the mountain weather forecast. The path can be treacherous in winter.
• Navigation: While easy to follow, keep clear of the railway tracks.
