Zeal Hotel Exeter Site Visit

RIBA Exeter branch & CIAT Western Region have arranged an exciting opportunity to visit the first net zero operational carbon, 4-star hotel consisting of 5148qm of floor space over 4 storeys. Facilities to include; 142 bedrooms (comprising a mix of accessible, standard and executive rooms, suites and apartments), bar and restaurant space along with private dining, conference space and a gym/fitness centre along with hard and soft landscaping providing 96 parking spaces including electrical vehicle charging points and an improved ecological habitat. have arranged an exciting opportunity to visit the first net zero operational carbon, 4-star hotel consisting of 5148qm of floor space over 4 storeys. The hotel has been designed by Bristol Based Architect's Westworks and is being contructed by RED Construction. By mid-May, RED Construction hope to be progressing the roof works, SFS and board infill works at top floor, windows install , M&E 1st fix & dry lining.

Attendees will need to bring their own PPE [hat/vest/boots/gloves/glasses]. Red Construction have some kits but limited.

Parking will need to be in the “Park & Change”, Exeter Science Park via Anning Way off Honiton Road. The car park has height restrictions so only car/MPV’s will be able to access. No access via Babbage Way.

You will then need to take the path in the south-west corner down to the Honiton Road and along to the site entrance and pedestrian gate for access to the site offices. Note the path inside site is stone so recommend footwear is changed in the P&C.
