About The Restaurant
The Salutation – A Historic & Elegant Dining Experience
Nestled in the heart of Topsham, The Salutation has been welcoming guests since 1720 and remains one of the town’s most historic and atmospheric venues.
Step through the porte cochère (carriage porch) into a beautifully restored space that blends heritage with elegance. Above the entrance, the Assembly Room boasts a striking Venetian window, where you can spot historic 1774 graffiti etched into the glass.
Now focused on exceptional dining, The Salutation offers a refined yet relaxed setting, perfect for an enjoyable supper. There’s no bar counter—just attentive personal service, fine food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
