Zine Making

YFoES is a network of young (16-30) activists and campaigners across Scotland working collectively for environmental and social justice. We aim find creative approaches for engaging young poeple in global and local issues; to create spaces for young people to come together to share ideas, skills and resources; deliver bespoke trauining and support to young campaigners and ensure young people's voices are heard in key decision making spaces.

A relaxed and creative introduction to Zines and Zine Making!

**Part of our online youth skillshare, open to those aged 14-30**
What are zines? Why make them? How do I make one? Facilitated by Lilith Cooper (they/them) and Abigail Melton (she/her), who are both zine makers and help run the Edinburgh Zine Library, this will be an hour-long structured workshop exploring zines and breaking down barriers to making them (with fun games!), followed by an informal half hour Q&A and co-zine-ing session to think about ways to contribute to a digital YFoES Skill Share zine.

This zine workshops is open to all levels of experience - you don't have to be a great drawer, experienced zine maker, or even think of yourself as creative!

What you'll need? To participate, you'll need a pen/pencil, paper (preferably A4) and scissors. You'll also need the link to the zoom, which we will release shortly before the workshop. If you've got glue and any old magazines lying around, these would be helpful too! If you just want to watch along, that's a valid form of participation - there's going to be no pressure to do activities, speak, or share, if that's not something you enjoy!
