Organisateur de SWC Launch | The Fusslin Thrang - 19th April 24
The Scottish Writers’ Centre is a countrywide resource, which supports national writers and promotes Scotland’s vibrant literary culture. Operated solely by volunteers, the SWC is thereforeby writers, for writers– the organisation provides a space for writers to meet, share ideas and experiences about the craft, and learn from those further advanced. Central to this cause are the facilities provided by, and the activities arranged with the support of, Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts (where the SWC is currently based).Through ‘In Process’ masterclasses, the SWC encourages literary appreciation and professional development. Led by renowned Scottish writers at the top of their respective fields (be it Novel, Play, or Poetry writing), future classes will include Screen and Comic Book media (charting the transformative process of adaption). The SWC also holds open-forum discussions and debates with eminent guest speakers, in which visitors can share their opinions and ideas.
