Chatham Maritime Watersports Centre, delivers inclusive watersports experiences, activities and courses to individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, promoting health and wellbeing, whilst encouraging personal and social development, building character, independence and resilience by reinforcing a growth mind-set.
We are a unique salt deep water, urban venue set in what was once the factory basin (basin number 2) of Chatham Royal Dockyard, not only can you walk in the footsteps of the likes of Lord Nelson, when you visit the Chatham Maritime Estate, you can also ‘Sail’ in the wake of Maritime greats such as Nelson, and the 3 mariners Drake, Hawkins and Howard.
We deliver dinghy sailing, windsurfing and powerboat training for the youth and adult schemes. A paddlesports UK delivery partner offering the Start, Discover and Paddle Safer awards and we are Licenced by the Adventurous Activities Licencing Authority (AALA) to deliver Sailing, Windsurfing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Stand up Paddleboarding and Improvised rafting.
