Desert Rain Therapeutic Farm
A Place Where People and Animals Thrive Together
At Desert Rain Therapeutic Farm, we’re rooted in the belief that wellness isn’t just the absence of illness—it’s the presence of wholeness. We recognize that health is multifaceted, with emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions shaped by connection, nature, and compassion. Our therapeutic farm provides a safe space for people of all ages to explore holistic care, connect with rescued farm animals, and rediscover a sense of belonging. Located in the heart of Gilbert, Arizona, Desert Rain is where healing and community grow together.
Who we are
Guided by the principles of salutogenesis, Desert Rain is a sanctuary where people and rescued farm animals come together to access their inner resilience, reconnect with a sense of belonging, and rediscover meaningful purpose.
Here, healing isn’t about fixing what’s missing—it’s about nurturing the conditions that help us grow, feel whole, and fully experience life.
Why Animals?
Animals live in the moment—without judgment, expectation, or agenda. At Desert Rain, our rescued horses, goats, chickens, and other animals help people reconnect to that simple presence.
Through shared experiences of kindness, care, resilience, and curiosity, we learn from one another how to slow down, trust, and be fully present with ourselves and others.
In their natural state, animals invite us to return to our own. They remind us that healing doesn’t require perfection—only presence and connection.
Our Mission
Desert Rain Therapeutic Farm is a sanctuary where rescued farm animals and people come together to nurture wellness through connection, nature, and compassion.
Our Vision
To create a healing sanctuary where people and rescued animals grow in connection, purpose, and whole-person wellness—guided by nature and the principles of salutogenesis.
