British Asian Chess Association
Welcome to BACA! We are a newly founded not-for-profit organisation looking to grow the game of chess everywhere, but particularly within the British-Asian Community.
Chess is booming right now and we want to try and make it as accessible as possible, whilst also using it as a tool to bring people together, form relationships and develop an amazing community of like-minded individuals.
We aim to host regular social events where people of all ages can come along and play a game of chess in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. These will initially be based around London, but eventually we will look to host regular events all around the country. And of course, all our regular events and activities will be free for everyone, as we strongly feel money should not be barrier to playing the beautiful game.
But what if you’ve never played chess before? Not to worry, we will be hosting dedicated sessions to teach the game to those wanting to learn how to play, led by us and a team of amazing volunteers.
And if you’re an avid player looking to improve your chess ability? We will be organising workshops with chess masters, who will talk through their past games or key elements of chess that they know will help you that that next step in your development.
On top of all this, we will hold cash-prize tournaments to bring a competitive edge to proceedings, and we will look to establish our very own BACA chess team to demonstrate how strong the BACA chess community really is.
Above all else however, we want people to have fun, whilst providing a social setting to help grow the game, foster a welcoming chess community, and meet all your other chess needs.
Join us at BACA, as we look to grow the game of chess for everyone.
