Becky Shelley Fitness
Becky has been passionately teaching yoga since 2018. She deepened her practice through an immersive teacher training in Rishikesh, India, the renowned birthplace of yoga, where she graduated with certification in multi-style yoga, including Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin. The intensive program was led by a host of esteemed experts specialising in alignment, meditation, anatomy, and the traditional eight limbs of yoga, providing her with a profound and authentic foundation.
Becky’s classes are celebrated for their inclusive and supportive nature, welcoming students of all ages, body types, abilities, and experience levels. Drawing on her diverse training, she expertly adapts each session to accommodate a wide range of needs, from common injuries like lower back pain, knee issues, shoulder tightness, and wrist sensitivity, to chronic conditions such as arthritis.
She provides clear modifications, creative prop suggestions (blocks, straps and bolsters), and gentle hands on adjustments (with consent) to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and empowered. Beginners are encouraged without feeling overwhelmed, while seasoned practitioners are guided toward deeper explorations, fostering a balanced flow where everyone honours their own pace.
What truly distinguishes Becky’s teaching is the warm, non-judgmental space she creates. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with a genuine smile in a serene environment enhanced by soft lighting and soothing music. She gently reminds students that yoga is a personal journey, not a performance, there’s no “perfect” pose, only the one that serves your body in this moment.
Her compassionate cues emphasise listening to your body, respecting its limits, and celebrating progress, big or small. Laughter and light-hearted connection are woven in naturally, dissolving any self-consciousness. Students frequently leave her classes feeling physically rejuvenated, emotionally uplifted, and fully accepted just as they are.
Whether you’re navigating an injury, seeking stress relief, or simply craving a nurturing space to move and breathe, Becky’s classes offer a heartfelt sanctuary where everyone truly belongs.
