Anju is a Consultant Physiotherapist & Clinical Director of Therapies at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOHT). She has worked at the RNOHT for 30 years, specialising in managing shoulder dysfunction with a specific interest in atraumatic shoulder instability and chronic persistent rotator cuff pain. She has lectured internationally and presented at numerous scientific meetings. She has published over 30 peer reviewed papers, co-supervised post graduate student projects and is involved in funded research studies collaborating with commercial and academic partners. She is a member of the British Shoulder & Elbow Society, served on the Education committee and been a member of BESS council, she was awarded the prestigious BESS Copeland fellowship. She is currently the BESS board representative on the International Committee for the Society of Shoulder & Elbow Therapists (ICSSET). She was President of the European Society of Shoulder & Elbow Rehabilitation (EUSSER) from 2012-2015 and served on the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) committee for guidelines in hip/knee and shoulder arthroplasty. She has a passion for improving the management of shoulder dysfunction as well as globally promoting physical therapy and rehabilitation.
