The Brain Lair believes in the potential of each child and how a strong educational system filled with literature that uplifts marginalized voices and educators, who understand that the "canon" should include all of us, can nurture, develop, and encourage that potential; eventually impacting the community at large in a social, economic, and quality of life way.

Using our background as educators, readers, and artists, we focus on inclusion and intersectionality in order to share the life-changing influence writers and illustrators offer and hope to connect children to the tools they need as they build brighter futures.
