Julia Hincks

Julia Hincks is a textile artist and teacher. She has sewn and knitted from an early age, learning her skills from her mother and grandmothers.

Having trained as a teacher at Cambridge University in 2001 and taught in a variety of schools, she now works for Greater Brighton Metropolitan College and independently, teaching a range of creative crafts to adults – Fashion, Dressmaking, Pattern Cutting, Knitting and Crochet.

Julia is the author of ‘The Overlocker Technique Manual’ which is available from Amazon and other good book shops.  The book is also available in Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish.  Julia's second book 'The Coverstitch Technique Manual' is now available to pre-order from most bookshops.
