ARC Bucks PCN
Arc Bucks PCN believe that a healthy thriving community improves health and wellbeing. People that have a connection to their community are often empowered and have more control over their health and lives which builds resilience.
The Social Prescribing team are working hard mapping available local groups that are in the community, adding these to the directory of services on our website and actively passing on that knowledge to the local community.
Our Social Prescribers run 10 Talking Cafés a month, including 4 regular weekly Cafés that are in the heart of the communities we serve, these cafés are drop in Cafés that social prescribers refer into and are also open to the wider public, many things are discussed at the Cafés and friendships formed, often leading to individuals joining other groups together.
Arc Bucks PCN have over 100 Community Connectors including, paramedics, local police, nurses, and the general public. The feedback we receive is” we never knew that there was so much out there”.
If everyone knew what was out there and worked together it would create a supportive community where everyone is an included valued member, this in turn can lead to volunteering opportunities, peer support and increased wellbeing.
