Bamfield Fungus Festival

The Bamfield Fungus Festival is an annual festival coordinated under the umbrella of the Bamfield Huu-ay-aht Community Forest Society that celebrates the ecological importance and diversity of the mysterious world of fungi. Events take place over 2 days in the remote community of Bamfield, in Huu-ay-aht First Nations territory.

The festival is entirely run by community volunteers, with the generous support of local sponsors. At the heart of the festival are the expert mycologists who generously share their knowledge and enthusiasm year after year, allowing us to offer events that are accessible to all in terms of both cost and educational level.
