Barbara Wright

My name is Barbara. I like to explore why the built environment is shaped the way it is and what motivates people to create the social and physical patterns I have worked in London for many years building neighbourhoods and communities and now enjoy exploring these places with you! I grew up outside London, but arrived in the big smoke in the late 1970’s, I am still finding new things to discover.

I am a qualified City of Westminster and Lambeth tour guide and a qualified town planner with a certificate in urban design, ready to show you London and how this great city works. I have worked on several regeneration estates and housing projects in East London and Westminster and I’ve been guiding since 2020 now covering historical and cultural walking tours in Royal, Tudor, restoration, Regency and 19th century London (especially Westminster) and central areas with other neighbourhoods such as Soho, Covent Garden, Marylebone and Belgravia .A also guide in the various neighbourhoods of Lambeth, a unique south of the river borough with rich riverside and local heritage including the pollical recent past.
