Bilge Serin

Bilge Serin is an urban researcher with a diverse background including urban development, urban design, politics and architecture. She works as a Lecturer in Global Urbanism, University of Glasgow. She worked at the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University and Middle East Technical University as well as the Chamber of City Planners in Turkey before joining University of Glasgow. Her research interests are inequality in urban space, commons and commoning, representations of urban space in mass media, everyday life (particularly in controlled living environments), and the dynamics of contemporary commodification urban space.
