OUR MISSION
Breathing new life into much loved texts, Butterfly immerse audiences in classic tales, using unusual spaces to set our story - such as caves, castles and woodlands, even ONLINE - and truthful, responsive acting to excite and delight in every moment.
Imagine: deep underground in pre-historic caves, chanting emerges from the witches of Macbeth in the surrounding caverns, and a chill reaches your spine. Or a beautiful woodland, enchanted by echoing fairy calls from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, on a warm summers day.
Our aim is to create theatre that is vibrantly alive, moment to moment.
