Chris Davenport

Born and raised in the historic town of Shrewsbury, I have called the Battlefield area home since 1999. With a lifelong passion for technology, I've had various roles within the realm of computers throughout my career. But beyond the digital realm, I have always had an interest in science and an appreciation of the beauty of nature.

In recent years, I have taken up and really enjoy the art of photography. Capturing moments frozen in time allows me to share the beauty I encounter in the world around me. It's a hobby that allows me to blend my love for technology with my appreciation for nature.

As custodian of the northern half of Lion Coppice, the ancient woodland at the heart of Battlefield, I take pride in preserving and nurturing this biodiversity hotspot. It's a responsibility I take seriously, as I believe in the importance of safeguarding our environment for future generations to enjoy.

I am currently standing for election as the Green Party candidate for Battlefield on Shrewsbury Town Council in May 2025.
