Derwent Valley Literary Festival: A Celebration of Books

About the Festival: 16th to 23rd June 2018

Derwent Valley Literary Festival: A Celebration of Books will feature local authors, poets and playwrights reading, performing and talking about their work. Watch out for historical novelists, life-writers, children's authors, performance poets, playwrights, and even some French-speaking puppets!

Events will take place across the Derwent Valley, ranging from Consett to Blaydon. Some events are indoors, others are outdoors, a few are online and one is in a pub. All events are free and everyone is friendly, so please come along and celebrate local writing and make some new friends.
