GDI Students for Palestine
GDI Students for Palestine is a student-led solidarity group based at the University of Manchester’s Global Development Institute (GDI).
We aim to centre the struggle for Palestinian cause within global development conversations and practice, challenging silence, complicity, and colonial frameworks that continue to shape the discipline.
Our work is grounded in principles of anti-apartheid, anti-imperialism, and decolonial solidarity. We organize events, teach-ins, reading groups, and creative campaigns to raise awareness and foster critical reflection on the intersection of global development and ongoing injustices in Palestine.
We believe that a just and inclusive global development agenda must address occupation, dispossession, and settler colonialism – not ignore them. In solidarity with all oppressed communities, we strive to reshape academic and policy spaces to reflect justice, liberation, and dignity for all.
