Anna Njie is the founder of the Go Africa Cultural Festival and Fashion4Africa project showcase and managing director of Go Africa Community Hub CIC Although she now works in the Health & Social Care industry and is a radio host at The London Metropolitan University, by profession she is an event management consultant, who has coordinated several international summits and conferences: including the African Union Summit in the Gambia in 2006 and International Roots Festival in 2008, to open doors to the Diaspora for business opportunities. In 2009, she was appointed as a project assistant at AFFORD UK (The African Foundation for Development), however, soon after she was moved to office management where she initiated and supported Afford UK projects through event coordinating and marketing. She succeeded twice in putting together partners to enhance the contribution of the African Diaspora in African Development, by organising AFFORD UK’s participation in Global Enterprise Week (GEW), African Women In Business, and Creative Industries' contribution to African Development hosted at REED SMITH. Ms. Njie has operated in the UK and The Gambia hosting several creative programs and contributing to various media houses including NAW, Black Hair & Beauty, FAB Mag, The Promota Mag, BlackHair Mag, Whytt Mag, The Islington Tribune, The Voice Newspaper, and her own column in the Daily Observer Gambia newspaper.
