Kevin Trickett MBE will be known to many people from his home city of Wakefield. As president of Wakefield Civic Society and a former trustee of both the Wakefield Community Foundation and arts charity Beam, he has established a high profile within the city and is often seen leading guided walks on behalf of the Civic Society.

Following a long career in the public sector, Kevin now writes and talks about his favourite subjects, including architecture, Art Deco, history,travel, transport and philosophy. He also writes restaurant reviews and other articles for Wakefield-based regional magazine TopicUK. He has also written two books for Wakefield Civic Society.
