Madeleine Hardus
Madeleine Hardus, PhD, is a therapist specializing in nutrition and mindset, focusing on supporting (peri)menopausal women with weight management, vasomotor symptoms (such as hot flashes and night sweats), and fatigue. With a client-centered approach, she provides a tailored and safe space to work together on set goals.
Holding a PhD from the University of Amsterdam, Madeleine's academic journey began with studies in Biology (University of Utrecht and added the course Nutrition and Health at Amsterdam University), followed by a master's degree (MSc) in Behavioural Biology at the University of Utrecht. Her doctoral research focused on Great Ape diet and the evolution of the human diet. She further specialized in Orthomolecular Nutrition Therapy at the Dutch Ortho Institute and became a Digestive Intensive Graduate and Full Body System Graduate of the Functional Nutrition Alliance (USA). Additionally, Madeleine obtained a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (Dip, CBH level 5), emphasizing evidence-based practice.
Beyond her professional credentials, Madeleine's passion for human neurophysiology, habits, and achievements drives her continuous learning. She actively engages with published articles and attends international conferences and workshops to stay updated with new discoveries and advances in the fields of nutrition and (mental) health.
Outside of her professional life, Madeleine cherishes life as a mother to two beautiful (and energetic) daughters in Warwickshire. She enjoys books, herbs, raw chocolate, turmeric lattes, and exploring any tweak or hack that enhances human potential.
