Martin Rizzola
Originally from Buenos Aires, he has focused his studies on Afro-Cuban and African percussion having studied with some of the best world percussionists including Giovanni Hidalgo, Pedrito Martinez, Marvin Diz, Richie Flores among others.
A turning point in his career came in 2015 with his study trip to La Habana, Cuba, where he lived and studied with local 'maestros' and imbibed their culture first-hand in order to improve his percussion technique, language and spirit.
In addition to his own music, Martin has recorded percussion for several high-profile artists such as The Blessed Madonna, Butch, Mason Maynard and Guti.
His gig history is also remarkable, having warmed up twice for the Grammy Award winner and Afro House referent Black Coffee and played alongside two of the biggest names in Afro and Tribal scene, Pablo Fierro and Kintar at their respective parties We'Re Here (NYC) and Summerians (Ibiza). Martin has also played at renowned festivals and clubs such as Zamna Festival, Lollapalooza, Sònar Festival Bs. As., Amsterdam Dance Event, Luna Park Stadium, Blue Marlin Ibiza, Electric Brixton among others.
His skills as a percussionist have led him to settle in the city of London where he is already enjoying club residencies and worldwide tours including countries such as Indonesia, India, Maldives, EAU, Spain, Croatia, France, among others.
