Founded as an urgent response to the catastrophic impact of Covid-19 on the creative sector, MAX sees the current crisis as an opportunity, a call to action for re-imagination and regeneration.

MAX is a thinktank with a vision of a cultural landscape where all the arts play a central role in society. MAX is a listening space from which we will work to build a sustainable future for all artists.

MAX is founded on a core belief in promoting diversity and equality.

MAX advocates for artist-led work and a drive for greater equality between independent artists and the organisations with whom they work.

MAX will collaborate with artists and organisations to challenge existing orthodoxies and develop new practices.
