Menopause Support in and out of the Workplace
The Project is a partnership between BVSC (Birmingham Voluntary Services), DRC (Disability Resource Centre), and Salus Fatigue Foundation to support all citizens around peri- and post- menopause in and in-to the workplace, in Birmingham and Solihull
Supported by BVSC, DRC will work with smaller and medium sized companies and organisations with up to 250 employees - advising on policy, and training champions. Salus will work with communities including people who are not in employment giving advice on how to talk to your GP, medical treatments, and lifestyle guidance. Events to expand and explore menopause will be organised quarterly.
The work is funded from 2022-2025 through The Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Health and Wellbeing Fund, a joint initiative run by the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England and the UK Health Security Agency. The activities will contribute to the new national Women's Health Strategy: women's reproductive wellbeing in the workplace.
