Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership

Merseyside VRP believes that all of Merseyside's communities have the right to be free from violence in order to provide the best life chances for all. The partnership brings together health and education professionals, community development leaders, Merseyside police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue, local government, National Probation Service and the county’s Youth Offending Service and other key partners as one team to identify, understand and tackle the root causes of serious violence in Merseyside.

Working with, and driven by real evidence, data and a public health approach, the partnership's focus lies with better understanding how to prevent violence from becoming a normalised feature of someone's life from early years, (and even pre-birth), right through to adulthood (25 years). We want to know how to reduce levels of violence in the long-term to better stabilise the health, wellbeing, safety and quality of life for future generations.

Our events will link to one, or all, of the issues above.
