Monsurah Alli-Oluwafuyi
Monsurah Alli-Oluwafuyi is a Bristol-based writer and filmmaker whose work explores themes of healing, social advocacy, and cultural awareness. With a background in Sociology and an MA in Human Resources Management, she uses storytelling as a tool to champion diversity, gender equality, child development, and mental health.
Her journey into filmmaking was inspired by her desire to confront her own experiences of childhood trauma and channel them into stories that provoke thought and inspire change. Monsurah self-published three children’s books before transitioning to film, where her narratives continue to centre on emotional resilience and societal issues. Behind The Glass is a deeply personal short film that reflects her commitment to creating impactful stories that resonate with young audiences and beyond.
