Motiv8 Addiction Services

Introduction

Motiv8 Addiction Service is a Manx-registered charity (275) founded in 1978. The primary aim of Motiv8 is to minimise the harm associated with drug, alcohol, and gambling/gaming problems, not just for service users and their families but for the whole community. We offer a service that is easy to access, quick to respond with no waiting list, and offers a wide range of therapeutic interventions that promote choice and flexibility.

Our mission

“To provide a service where individuals and families are supported and empowered to reduce the harm from alcohol, substance misuse, gambling, and gaming. We achieve this through early intervention, counselling, community services, education, research, treatment, and rehabilitation”.

A centre of excellence

Motiv8’s reputation as an organisation of good practice and a centre for excellence places us in a unique position of trust. We are one of two charities on the IOM that have entered into a strategic partnership with Manx Care to provide drug and alcohol services with a ten-year agreement.
