New York City Children’s Center Advisory Board
The Advisory Council of New York City Children’s Center is a not-for-profit entity whose purpose is to support the mission and goals of New York City Children’s Center (NYCCC). This has been accomplished through activities that provide education to the staff as well as the community about the behavioral health and treatment needs of children and adolescents and the service delivery system that provides for them and their families.
It is important to know that the proceeds from the Annual Lauretta Bender Conference have been utilized directly to help fund special programs for the children, as well as develop educational initiatives and events. These funds have supported activities such as family barbeques, the health promotion step-a-thon, summer carnivals complete with games and prizes, and even provided much needed assistance to help family escape from a domestic violence situation. Last but not least, these funds assure that every child at NYCCC during the holidays will have a present waiting for them.
