Ponthafren

Ponthafren first opened in 1992 offering a small support group and we gained charity status in 1994 since then we have grown into the organisation, we are today with XX councillors and XX support staff and a rapidly growing number of student councillors joining the team.

Ponthafren's aim is "to provide a caring community, offering support to those in need and to promote positive mental health and well-being for all."

We do this by valuing everyone as an individual and understanding that no one person is the same. We understand that you are more than your mental health issue, and hope that with the support we offer, you can overcome the barriers that you face and find a new route to your recovery, making lifetime achievements and friends along the way.

Within our centres, we focus on health and well-being by providing a wraparound service that provides:

• Counselling

• One to One Recovery

• Life Skill Courses

• Volunteering opportunities

• Exercise Courses

• Creative Classes and Courses

Now we are expanding our services to help businesses and organisations with the issues they are facing in the workforce surrounding mental health and well-being and supporting businesses and organisations to minimise the impact of losing staff through mental health-related absences from the workplace.
