RAMP University Network

The RAMP University Network, launched in 2022, is a key component of the Resilience Adaptation Mainstreaming Program (RAMP), dedicated to strengthening macrofinancial resilience to climate change through multi-disciplinary academic teaching and research.

Comprising global universities, the Network serves as a strategic and knowledge partner to major international organisations, fostering high-quality teaching and research in climate finance. It develops curricula, course materials, and teacher training to equip universities in climate-vulnerable countries with the capacity to offer graduate-level education and professional training to government officials in finance ministries and other relevant departments.

By building local expertise, the Network empowers current and future leaders to integrate climate-related macro-financial risks into decision-making and policy planning. Through capacity-building initiatives, it contributes to systemic change in public financial management, climate finance policy, central banking, and financial markets.

Additionally, the Network strengthens research capabilities among its members by providing research grants and fostering a community of scholars focused on macrofinancial resilience. It also supports universities in enhancing their administrative and academic capacity to deliver high-quality graduate education and professional training.
