Southsea Sangha is an open access, peer led, Buddhist meditation community, based at Portsmouth Yoga Studio, Albert Rd, inspired by our friends at Against the Stream Buddhist Medittaion Society in the U.S.
Southsea Sangha was founded by Daniel Sutton-Johanson; Community Dharma Leader in training and a small group of dedicated volunteers and facilitators and is part of the Rebel Dharma U.K & IRE Network.
The group, run entirely on a Dana (Generosity) basis, began meeting once a month in May 2014 and has grown exponentially since.
Groups now meet every Sunday at 6pm.
Dharma Den runs 6pm - 7pm every Sunday, involving guided meditations with volunteer facilitators,
Meditate & Destroy runs every last Sunday 6pm - 8pm with Daniel, involving guided meditations, dharma talks and group discussions.
The teachings of mindfulness and meditation shared are influenced by the Vipassana (insight) tradition and all levels of experience are welcome.
You don't need to be a Buddhist to coem hang or to benefit from the practice of meditation!
Southea Sangha welcomes people from all nicity, economic, sexual, social, political and religious backgrounds and preferences.
