Spokane County Water Resources
Water: We Clean it. We Teach it.
Spokane County Water Resources offers locally relevant water education to residents in the Spokane area. We promote responsible stewardship of the Spokane River and the Spokane Valley-Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer. The Water Resource Center is located adjacent to the Spokane County Regional Water Reclamation Facility where 8 million gallons of wastewater are cleaned every day!
The Spokane County Water Resources Programs Include:
- Water Reclamation Facility Tours for Adults and community members
- Field Trips at the Water Resource Center and at the Doris Morrison Learning Center for K-12 students
- Classroom Presentations at Schools
- Water Quality Monitoring (aquifer and surface waters: river, lakes, streams), Research, and Clean Water Permit Compliance
- Management of the Spokane County Regional Water Reclamation Facility (aka, wastewater treatment)
- Wetland and Habitat Restoration
- Stormwater infrastructure and education

The Doris Morrison Learning Center at Saltese Flats Wetlands Area is located at 1330 S Henry Rd, Greenacres, WA 99016.
