Stephanie Hilder
Stephanie is an independent Consultant for Curriculum and Assessment, with more than twenty years’ experience of working with schools and institutions across the UK. English teaching is her main interest; ‘writing’ tops her list of cool things to do!
Stephanie champions teacher research and evidence-based education. Her work is focused upon building teacher knowledge and confidence so that teachers and children really enjoy their lessons. Stephanie hosts events aimed at bringing together the experiences and enquiries of primary teachers with up to date research and thought, to support lively debate and practical, professional thinking.
Alongside her consultant work, Stephanie is a Lecturer in Reading for Pleasure with The Open University (OU). She also manages and supports the delivery of statutory moderation for two Local Authorities. Stephanie sits on the editorial board of English 4-11: a professional resource for primary teachers produced by The English Association (EA) and UKLA. She has a shameless book-buying habit and promotes Reading for Pleasure (RfP) and oracy in schools.
