A series of pop-up collaborative projects, events and exhibitions with plants in mind.
The Plant Room is a studio project by design studio The Archipelago and its roots lie in discovering a research article on how creativity was adversely affected by bare, minimalist environments. By slightly altering these environments to incorporate plants, it was observed that productivity, creativity and general wellbeing were enhanced. Inspired by these findings we launched our first exhibition in May 2015. Following this we have collaborated with a number of venues and independent businesses designing spaces and incorporating plants into beautifully curated indoor and outdoor environments.
In 2016 we launched our Mini Market, a small pop-up concession within Tall Boys Beer Market in Leeds. The Mini Market sells a curated selection of modern ceramics, vessels and objects all with plants in mind.
We work with like-minded individuals on creative, collaborative projects that inspire us and we love working organically, letting the people and projects evolve with us.
As part of our ongoing collaboration with Tall Boys Beer Market, the Garden Sessions are creative workshops that celebrate plants, creativity and urban-growing.
