The Senses Project
In 2016, the concept which later became The Senses Project, was just an idea to make meaningful and progressive support available for young adults. Joe, one of our founders, was determined that the gaps he saw young adults experiencing between children and adult services, meant a different style of support would be a key solution helping young adults find their feet.
In 2017, the idea became the collaborative creation of both our founders, Joe and Dave. Throughout the year, while working between both children and adult services, the foundations and values of The Senses Project were established.
By July 2018, the concept of a programme which adapts to each young adults own self-development was created.
In December 2018, The Senses Project was launched, as a service which would completely tailor a unique programme for every client they worked with. The Senses Project started offering its programme across East Hampshire, and the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole areas.
The Senses Project's growing client basis in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, led to its first recruitment, expanding the team, in November 2019.
From 2022, The Senses Project begun launching it's Independence Support Programme across West Dorset whilst also launching 'Workshops by The Senses Project'.
In April 2023 we will launch our first Reflective Workshop as an inclusive space to Learn, Share, and INSPIRE. We are so excited launching this, and what's better is we will be donating all of the ticket fees - excluding Eventbrite admission fees - To charities in the UK. To see which charities we will be partnering with, please see our website (www.thesensesproject.co.uk).
