Thomas Hobbes of Malmesbury Society

 

Thomas Hobbes was born in Malmesbury, Wiltshire in 1588.  A philosopher, poet, classicist, mathematician and scientist. He is England’s most important philosopher and a founder of modern political philosophy.  The Thomas Hobbes of Malmesbury Society encourages philosophical discussion and holds an annual symposium of talks.
