Truffle and Mushroom Hunter

I am now pursuing a new role and founded the Great British Truffle Festival in 2024 after initially setting up The UK Truffle Festival and Dog Championships 2022-2023 . This new venture fills me with excitement for the future, especially as the last three were such a great success and I look forward to a succession of events in the years to come.

I am a self taught professional truffle hunter and wild mushroom picker. I did a forestry degree at Plumpton College in 2008 to support my already growing knowledge about fungi which was at that time an evolving hobby which grew into a passion for amateur mycology and what lay ahead in the quest for fungal and woodland knowledge.

Truffle and Mushroom Hunter established since 2008 and I have since been running mushroom forays, truffle hunts, talks, courses and throughout the year I provide truffle hound training days for your truffle hounds to be.I also manage wild truffle woodlands for the sustainable production of truffle and give consultancy advice and offer fungi and truffle surveys for private woodland owners.

I have featured on numerous television programs; Tales of a Kitchen Garden with Marcus Wearing, Countryfile with John Craven, Alan Titchmarsh Show, Food Unwrapped, Sunday Brunch, Aide in Briton, Big Z and featured on local radio stations in most national papers and many magazines.
