Vera J. Kong - Perspective Unplugged
Hi, I'm Vera. I am a lifelong student of all things to do with psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, metaphysics, art, and sound. After working as a support group facilitator and psychotherapist for over ten years, I decided to expand once more and 'pulled the plug' on system-driven, institutional 'inside-the-box-living' and working. This is when I founded Perspective Unplugged and developed 'Change Facilitation' as a holistic therapeutic coaching modality. Admittedly, my own 'spiritual awakening' (if that is what you'd like to label it) was a major catalyst for this shift in my life.
I love nature, bodywork, thought-provoking questions, engagement with spiritual or transpersonal realms, the healing powers of sound, and experience-based, holistic approaches to life. Increasingly, the system-driven focus on 'specialisation' over integration no longer chimes with me.
I have always been curious and fascinated by the study of change itself. And with that I mean the 'good', the 'bad', the ugly-seeming, as well as the transcendent forms of it.
However, I am not here to change people like a directive coach. That would be presumptuous, as I am still working on my own evolution... Equally, I can - through my experiences in life, my knowledge, as well as my work as a counsellor, sound practitioner, and sensorimotor psychotherapist, help people change consciously. And that is not always done just through talking.
