Visit West End

The Byres Road Book Festival is organised by Visit West End – the brand name of the Byres Road & Lanes Business Improvement District (BID).

We work year-round to make Glasgow’s West End vibrant and welcoming, supporting local businesses through marketing, events, and community projects.

Our efforts are paying off – Byres Road was recently named the 9th best high street in the UK for independent businesses by American Express and the

only Scottish street to make it into the top 10.

The book festival is an example of our events connecting culture with community. It brings together authors, readers, visitors, and local businesses for a programme that celebrates

creativity and the unique spirit of the West End.
