Yiewsley & West Drayton Arts Council
The Yiewsley and West Drayton Arts Council is a longstanding voluntary group established to deliver cultural activities in Yiewsley and West Drayton. The organisation maintains Southlands Arts Centre and oversees many cultural activities and local events.
The Arts Council have ambitious plans for the continued development of arts and culture for all in the local area. The organisation has established a wide range of activities across cultural genres such as youth theatre, film, photography, drama workshops, creative writing, textile design and even a Britpop ukulele group.
There is a full calendar of public activities on offer including professional art and photography exhibitions, youth art and music festivals like SouthlandsLIVE. The Arts Council continues to encourage cultural development within the area and hopes to offer new projects and creative activities as things progress.
