Untold Stories of Racialised Experience: Embodied Healing & Integration
An experiential workshop for counsellors & psychotherapists exploring racialised experience through storytelling & embodied reflection.
Untold Stories of Racialised Experience: Embodied Healing & Integration
A workshop for those who identify as from a racially minortised background.
I invite you to an experiential workshop for psychotherapists and counsellors where experience is heard and met in the body.
This workshop offers a reflective and creative space to explore, but is not limited to, anger and grief arising from racialised experience through storytelling and creative expression.
Rather than defining racial trauma in fixed ways, the workshop invites participants to listen to their own embodied and emotional knowledge, allowing meaning to emerge at their own pace.
This is a space shaped by care, choice, and attention to the relational field. It is not about fixing, analysing, or extracting stories, but about creating the conditions where experience can be safely held, witnessed, and integrated.
Through a gently structured process including grounding, storytelling, movement, conscious connected breathwork, and reflection, the day supports a deeper engagement with both personal and collective experience.
Outline of the Day
The workshop will unfold through a gently structured process, allowing space for both individual and shared experience.
Arrival & Grounding

Mindful Movement
A guided practice to support connection with the body and integration of emerging experience.

This workshop includes a guided breathwork session to support embodied processing and integration. Breathwork may not be suitable for those with certain physical or mental health conditions, including cardiovascular issues, high blood pressure, epilepsy, recent surgery, or severe psychiatric symptoms (such as psychosis or recent suicidal ideation).
If you have any concerns about your health, are pregnant, or are currently experiencing significant instability or without adequate support, this practice may not be appropriate at this time.
You will be asked to share relevant information in advance to help ensure this workshop is a suitable space for you. By taking part, you are responsible for your own wellbeing and encouraged to work within your own limits.
Breathwork may bring up emotional, physical, or sensory experiences during and after the session. These are a natural part of the process and usually settle with time.
