Is this event for Asians only?

Not at all! We welcome everyone, from any background or faith! As long as you're interested in playing some Chess and being respectful towards others, then you're more than welcome to come!

I don't know how to play Chess. Is this event still for me?

Of course! We teach the beginners for 45 - 60 minutes each session, so if you don't know how to play, that's more than fine! We will try our best to make sure you leave with much more knowledge than you came with! And of course, showcase the beauty and fun of playing Chess with friends and others!

We listened to your feedback and have gone BIGGER and BETTER for our next event! This time, we’ve got more space, and a fabulous alternative to work drinks on a Thursday evening! Please join us for another evening of fun-filled Chess, blunders and learning!

Now introducing the BACA Chess Ladder! There are prizes to be won throughout 2026 for those who maintain their spot at the top of the Ladder, and those who climb through the ranks - so everything is to play for!

We’ll be there to teach beginners like before, though you have the choice to play your own match if you so wish! And remember, tell a friend to tell a friend… Can’t wait to see you all there!
