What do I need to bring?

Accepted Answer

Have a notepad & pen or a device to take notes. Allow for a few minutes after the event to jot down thoughts, ideas & actions so that you don't forget important takeaways.  Make sure that you're sitting comfortable with cushions, blankets etc. Have a drink with you for refreshment & hydration.

Will this be emotionally intense?

Accepted Answer

The focus of this event is self-care & wellbeing, NOT emotional intensity. We may touch on themes that hold emotional weight like chronic pain.
If you currently feel vulnerable (e.g. bereavement or significant life change) check in with yourself & ask whether this is the right moment to take part.

Question 3

Do I need to be able to do physical movement or be fit?

Accepted Answer

You do not need to do physical movement or be fit for this event. There will be three non-athletic movement practices in the session that you will be invited to do. You do not need to do them. Exercise self-care throughout the webinar. You will be able to perform all the movement practices seated.

Question 4

Do I need to be in a quiet place for this?

Accepted Answer

Ideally, you want to be in a comfortable and safe space where you will not be disturbed or overheard so that you can fully enjoy the webinar.  If you are in a space where privacy is not assured, you might want to consider wearing headphones.

Question 5

How do I take care of myself if I need to during this event?

Accepted Answer

Be as comfortable as possible- blankets, cushions, lighting to feel safe & at ease.
We’ll do our best to create an emotionally safe space for all. If you begin to feel overwhelmed, you're welcome to take a break- stretch, move, reflect, pause. It’s OK to step away & return to the recording later.

Question 7

If I can’t attend the live event will there be a recording?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  After the event, a recording link will be sent to every registrant so that you can watch it at your leisure and watch it again when you want to.  The advantage of attending the event is that you can ask direct questions to the panel, inspired by what is shared on the day.

Question 8

The event is an hour and a half, do I need to stay the whole time?

Accepted Answer

You are free to leave the event at any time.  There will be a recording.  It will be released to all event registrants.  There will be a natural break at about 60 minutes, when we come to the end of our planned panel discussion.  The final 30 minutes will be for questions and answers.
