Creating bereavement-friendly workplaces

This session will explore how employers can create supportive work environments for bereaved staff.

This session will explore how employers can create supportive work environments for bereaved staff, drawing on the bereavement-friendly workplaces toolkit and introducing the Scottish Bereavement Charter Mark for Employers.

A 25 minute presentation will explore:

• Why bereavement-friendly workplaces are important
• Examples of how colleagues can be supportive of people who are bereaved
• Actions that employers can take to create supportive work environments, with reference to the Bereavement Charter Mark for Employers
• The bereavement-friendly workplaces toolkit as a source of information/resources/good practice for employers/staff/managers
